On one side of the campus, the multipurpose room overlooks the playing field and serves as a central hub for school activities.Rosa Parks School prioritizes an inclusive and community-based learning environment where every student feels valued and supported. Foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematical thinking are integrated into various projects and are also taught independently. The school\u2019s intimate size\u2014serving approximately 375 students\u2014fosters a strong sense of belonging, ensuring that students and their families feel like integral members of the learning community. The years of elementary school are six, sometimes seven years, allowing students to learn from each other and grow together in a consistent and nurturing environment.The school also emphasizes the importance of positive and engaging play during recess times. The school supports recess with certificated staffing to ensure that students have a structured and enjoyable play experience. The Junior Coaching program, led by fifth graders, supports younger students during recess.
